തേങ്ങാപാലിൽ പുഴുങ്ങി എടുത്ത പുട്ട് | Steamed Rice Cake in Coconut Milk



Ingredients

Grated coconut - 1/2 cup (take extra for layering the puttu) Sugar - 1 tbsp Salt - 1/4 tsp (as per taste) Rice flour - 1 cup Warm water - 1/2 cup

Method

In a bowl, add grated coconut, warm water, sugar, and salt. Squeeze the grated coconut well. Add rice flour and mix well with your fingertips. Make the flour moist until a crumbly texture. Take a puttu steamer and layer with a little fresh grated coconut and rice flour mix. Bring the pressure cooker with water to boil. Meanwhile, take the chiratta/coconut shell or the utensil. Place the coconut shell or utensil on top of the pressure cooker.   Cover and let cook for approximately 5- 7 minutes or till the cooked smell comes. Invert the shell on a plate !!! the puttu is ready.
