These Salmon Patties (salmon cakes) are tender and flaky on the inside, golden and crispy on the outside. Made quick and easy with delicious fresh salmon and fresh herbs, my salmon patty recipe will knock your socks off!
INGREDIENTS
Salmon - 250 gm
Olive oil - 1 to 2 tbsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Capsicum - as per taste
Onions - 1
Coriander leaves - one handful
Beaten egg - 1
Bread crumbs - 1/3 cup
Garlic granules - a few
Italian herbs - a few
METHOD
- Heat pan, when pan becomes hot add olive oil and butter, then add salmon, salt and pepper.Saute for a few minutes.
- After salmon is cooked, smash well.
- Transfer the cooked salmon to a bowl.
- In the same pan, add onion and saute for a few minutes, then add capsicum and salt. Mix well.
- Add coriander leaves, mix well.
- Transfer to a bowl.
- In a bowl, add the salmon and onion mixture, mix well.
- Add beaten egg, bread crumbs, garlic granules, Italian herbs. Knead well.
- Check salt and add salt if needed.
- Shape the salmon mixture.
- Heat pan, when pan becomes hot add olive oil and butter.
- Put the shaped salmon into the pan. Fry both sides for 2 mins or until it becomes brown.
- Serve to another plate. You can enjoy with mayonnaise or ketchup.
